Pixable is different from other photobook sites in that, besides uploading pics from your computer (which takes forever) you can use your or your friends photos on social networks (Facebook, Flickr, ...) without having to upload them.  NO UPLOADING!  That sounds like an easy way to make a fun photo book for a friend, a brag book for Grandma, etc..

I just made one of these, so I can tell you how it works:

1)  Go HERE to get your newcomer offer, and choose the 22 Page Softcover 8x5.5 Book.

2)  It will ask you to type in your facebook name - it completes all the registration info for you that way, and is linked to yours and your friends photos so they're available to you

3) Choose the color/theme of your book

4) You will be presented with all your/your friends Facebook albums.  Choose any pics you want out of these albums.  I love that you can even pick from your friends albums!  (I used several from my brother's).

5)  Choose 1 Photo to be on the cover, and either click "Autofill" or if you're picky, arrange them all special. (I was lazy, so I autofilled)

6) About 1 minute later it's done!  Just enter coupon code "FREEPIX" at checkout to deduct the $7.95 it normally costs to make this size book.  This took me all of 10 minutes total, to make a little book of grandkid photos to send my mom.

Jamie here!  I don't know about you guys, but around here, we celebrate St. Patricks Day.  Although we look for any excuse to have some fun around here, this one is mostly because I'm Catholic.  We probably don't do it as traditionally as some - for instance corned beef sounds gross (I've never had it, it just sounds that way) and cabbage is also on my "If it tastes as bad as it smells, it shall never pass these lips" list.

However, we do mark the day with our own little traditions - here are a few of ours:

1) Our Annual "St. Patrick Drives the Gummy Worms Into The Sea" - Cake.  This commemorates the tale of St. Patrick driving Irelands snakes into the sea - and really, there's nothing better to honor a saint than a cake & gummy rendering of them.  Here you see St. Patrick (played by G.I Joe) wielding his Twix Staff as the gummies flee into an ocean of frosting.

2)  We dye things green.  Any old thing, really.  Cereal milk.  Macaroni & Cheese (see above).  Cheesy Eggs.  Apple Juice.  Just whatever.  The kids think it is gross and delightful at the same time!

3) We read the Story of St. Patrick and talk about the Shamrock as metaphor for the Trinity.  Gotta get in a little moral tale in between all the sugar!

4) Here are some fun crafts, coloring pages, and recipes to help you start up your own traditions!

Adorable Children's Stories Download Site!

We bought our 2 oldest boys mp3 players for Christmas this year, and ever since then I jump on any FREE mp3 download I think they might like. (Like this cute Iggy and His Wiggy Bed chapter story HERE)

But when I went searching today for more good stories, I found this site and I am over the moon about it!!  It's called Kiddie Records Weekly and it's where folks have recorded old story records (the kind that come with little books)  and made them available in mp3 format for FREE Downloading!!!

 Just to give you an idea at the caliber of recordings available to delight your children, I'm listening to the 1939 recording of Peter & The Wolf right now with Peter Hale and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, I can even hear the sounds of old vinyl!  This brings back the best memories for me of kindergarten music class....
