Food Lion is about to get AWESOME! (UPDATE!)

*So far, the following Georgia stores have been confirmed to be starting this change tomorrow:
Carrollton, College Park, Lawrenceville, Fayeteville...  and more of you have confirmation??

For all of you folks around the Atalanta, GA area - you may have a sweet surprise when you go shopping this week!  Starting tomorrow, some Food Lion stores will begin to do the following:
  • Doubling up to 10 coupons up to 60¢ or less (Just like Bi-Lo!)
  • Accepting Competitors Coupons (Just like Publix!)
  • Price-Matching any Competitor's Ads (Just like Target!)
This is the TRIFECTA of every couponer's Dream Store-Policy!  If you find that your Food Lion has adopted these changes - please leave a comment!!!  If yours hasn't yet, hopefully the policy-change will go into effect at all stores very soon.

For this week, I'll be doing my matchups as before - but as soon as we see a good number of Food Lion's making the change - I'll start adding in Competitor's Coupons & Doubling for you!  This week's ad should be up late tonight - so stay tuned!

- Thanks to Jenny over at SouthernSavers for the heads up!

  1. Wow, that's great. I hope they do that here in VA too.

  2. Does that mean that you can take in another store's coupons such as Walgreen's or DG and they will honor them?

  3. I saw the Food Lion ad for the Lawrenceville, GA store and it states: "We will honor all competitor's coupons" and "Food Lion Will Match any Traditional Grocer's Advertised Price." I am not sure how broad the accepting competitor's coupons will be, but seems like worth the time to check into.

  4. I can't find the list of participating stores that was updated. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  5. I contacted Food Lion corporate offices several days ago to find out if the Food Lions in the middle Georgia area could do the same coupon policy as the ones in the Atlanta area. I received a letter back stating that it was just a test run for now.

My husband just went into the Food Lion on Watson Blvd. in Warner Robins Georgia and gave the cashier his coupons. They accepted all of them except the ones printed off the internet. He was told they no longer except ANY coupons printed off the internet.

Is this all Food Lions or just our Food Lion?
