thanks to Donna and Lynn for suggesting to use hair conditioner all over to soften skin!!
ReplyDeleteMy beauty tip is low maintenance....when out of lipstick or chapstick, and your face is oily, put a finger on the side of your nose to pick up some of your face oils. Then, slide the oil onto your lips. Works great, and lips are conditioned!!!
ReplyDeleteI like to use conditioner to shave my legs. It can usually be picked up for free or nearly free at cvs, walgreens, etc and it leaves my legs feeling super soft!
ReplyDeleteI have your button on my blog!

When I'm out of shaving cream/gel, I use hair conditioner as my shaving "cream." It works great and makes my legs feel silky.
ReplyDeleteI used to work for a high-end department store makeup counter, and I learned very quickly what was worth splurging on and where to pinch pennies. My tip: a cream concealer makes as good an eyeshadow base as any expensive primer! And don't think "I can't wear that color!" If your foundation is a good match for your skin tone, you can pull off any color you feel good in!
ReplyDeleteI use baby wipes to remove eye makeup.
ReplyDeleteI only wash my hair every other day, on the days I don't wash my hair I sleep in a bun, get up in the morning, pull it down and brush my wavy hair and go....gives me just enough body to pull off going without a fresh shampoo.

ReplyDeleteYou can use beer to give your hair some body. Or if you have dandruff issues, you can rinse your hair with diluted apple cider vinegar. 25ml apple juice and 75ml warm water. Don't rinse :)
ReplyDeleteTo exfoliate your skin, use a mixture of grapefruit and salt.

ReplyDeleteVaseline is a great, cheap eye makeup remover.
ReplyDeleteFor a good once a week face mask, use oatmeal mixed with mineral water.
ReplyDeleteFor super soft feet mix a few drops of tea tree oil mixed with some olive oil
ReplyDeleteCut a fresh lemon in half and use each half to lighten dark elbows and the fresh lemon juice works great as an astringent for oily skin.
ReplyDeleteFor those of us older women, apply aloe to those ugly brown age spots to fade them. Using a good sunscreen is the best way to avoid getting them. So remember all you young women, it's never too early to take care of your skin!
ReplyDeleteUse cornstarch as a way to cut down on perspiration.

I usually don't add a site's "button" on the first day that I visit, but I like that you promoted the New Hope Caring Pregnancy Center and that you give God the glory for your "ministry." Thank you!

I just learned how to make a great chic body scrub from Real Simple--combine oatmeal, brown sugar, used coffee grinds, ginger and honey. Blend in a food processor. It sounds weird but it smells lovely and is very relaxing! If you have dry skin you can add a little olive oil. An extra bonus--the coffee smell wakes me up in the morning :)
ReplyDeleteHere's a way to make your hair shiny:
ReplyDeleteIf you have red or brunette hair add a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your rinse water
If you have blonde hair add a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice to your rinse water.
