Olay Review & Giveaway!

I have super-dry skin, and with 4 boys, I just can't ever seem to find the time to sit around slathering on lotion.  That's why I really love the idea of Olay Total Effects Bodywash.  It claims "Deep Penetrating Moisture" and it certainly does make a difference.  Not only did it make my skin softer, it was even, well... glowier?  PLUS - it smelled great!

I received my Olay Bodywash courtesy of MyBlogSpark & Olay - and they'd like to offer one of you Time2$ave readers a $10 Walmart Gift Card so you can get one to try for yourself!

If you'd like to get in on this little giveaway, please leave a comment telling us a frugal girl's beauty/pampering tip!  I'll get us started:

*Jamie's Tip - Use sugar to scrub your face once a week to exfoliate!

  5. My beauty tip is low maintenance....when out of lipstick or chapstick, and your face is oily, put a finger on the side of your nose to pick up some of your face oils. Then, slide the oil onto your lips. Works great, and lips are conditioned!!!

  6. I like to use conditioner to shave my legs. It can usually be picked up for free or nearly free at cvs, walgreens, etc and it leaves my legs feeling super soft!

  8. When I'm out of shaving cream/gel, I use hair conditioner as my shaving "cream." It works great and makes my legs feel silky.

  9. I used to work for a high-end department store makeup counter, and I learned very quickly what was worth splurging on and where to pinch pennies. My tip: a cream concealer makes as good an eyeshadow base as any expensive primer! And don't think "I can't wear that color!" If your foundation is a good match for your skin tone, you can pull off any color you feel good in!

  11. I only wash my hair every other day, on the days I don't wash my hair I sleep in a bun, get up in the morning, pull it down and brush my wavy hair and go....gives me just enough body to pull off going without a fresh shampoo.

  14. You can use beer to give your hair some body. Or if you have dandruff issues, you can rinse your hair with diluted apple cider vinegar. 25ml apple juice and 75ml warm water. Don't rinse :)

  20. Cut a fresh lemon in half and use each half to lighten dark elbows and the fresh lemon juice works great as an astringent for oily skin.

  21. For those of us older women, apply aloe to those ugly brown age spots to fade them. Using a good sunscreen is the best way to avoid getting them. So remember all you young women, it's never too early to take care of your skin!

  24. I just learned how to make a great chic body scrub from Real Simple--combine oatmeal, brown sugar, used coffee grinds, ginger and honey. Blend in a food processor. It sounds weird but it smells lovely and is very relaxing! If you have dry skin you can add a little olive oil. An extra bonus--the coffee smell wakes me up in the morning :)

  25. Here's a way to make your hair shiny:
If you have red or brunette hair add a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your rinse water
If you have blonde hair add a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice to your rinse water.
