Pray for the family

A couple of weeks ago I, (Kasey) posted about Layla Grace HERE and her fight against cancer.  I have continued to follow her website and wanted to update all of you who had been praying.

The following update was posted on Twitter by Layla's Mom March 9, 2010.

Layla went to play with the angels early this morning.

Rest in peace precious Layla. 11/26/2007 - 3/9/2010

If you have a moment click HERE for a link to Layla Grace's website.  Her mom and dad are so real, yet they continue to praise God for his faithfulness in their lives.  To read how it all began click the about tab on the top right hand side.  She has two sisters that the family has asked prayer for also.  Please keep this family in your prayers.

Urgent Prayer Request

Kelly here...While we are working on our website and bringing an easier way to add prayer requests, I wanted to bring a family's story to your attention.  Last night at church we were told about another church family who is serving as missionaries in another country.  This country is predominately Muslim.  They have been able to share the Gospel of Christ with three other families who have converted to Christianity.  What a miracle in itself!  Others in the community found out about the conversions and have taken action against one of the family's children.  While at school, the children have been beaten and locked in closets.  Another complication is that it is illegal to NOT send yous kids to school there. In otherwords, the parents have taken their children out of school but now face consequences from the government for doing so.
Please pray for this family. They are facing decisions and opposition most of us could never dream of.  Pray for their protection, wisdom, strength and comfort from The One they have brought into their home and hearts.  While you're praying for them, this is also a time to reflect on our own blessings and unworthiness to receive them...an opportunity to thank our Heavenly Father that our problems pale in comparison to what this family faces.
Finally, from the heart of a mother I ask that you pray for these precious children. Caught in the middle of spiritual warfare, I pray they will see the incredible faith of their parents...that they will embrace the love and truth of Jesus...that God would use them in a mighty way to bring beauty from their suffering to influence their community, country and generation for the Gospel.
I look forward to meeting this family one day in our Heavenly home and encourage you to not take lightly our repsonsibility to pray for them and all of the persecuted church.

CVS Hot Tip: Planogram Planning!

Planogram: a diagram of fixtures and products that illustrates how and where retail products should be displayed, usually on a store shelf in order to increase customer purchases.

Tonight at my CVS, a friendly cashier let me know that she'd be redoing the haircare "planogram" tomorrow, and that lots of shampoos, hair color, etc... would be on clearance within the next few days. This has happened to me a few times in the past, giving me time to go home and gather up all my high-value coupons to score tons of great 75% Off products for nearly free!

To take full advantage of unexpected clearance sales at your CVS, or other drugstores, just ask a manager or cashier "Will you be redoing any planograms in the near future?"  This way you can be amongst the few prepared to snag some hot bargains on cosmetics and toiletries!

My mini-haul tonight:
(1) Olay Regenerist Moisturizer $7.50 (reg. $28.99)
(2) Essence Of Beauty Body Creams $1.50 ea (reg. $5.99)
{Pre-Coupon Total: $10.50}
Used $2 off $10 Skin Care from CVS Scanner
Used $3/1 Regenerist Moisturizer from 2/7 P&G
Used $5 ECB from last week
(Paid 50¢ for $41 in product!!)

6PM: Nine-West Shoes 80% Off!

I get weekly emails from 6PM.com, to let me know what the daily specials will be - today I was looking through a line of shoes called "Volatile" which were 85% Off (and cute, to boot!) when I noticed that Nine-West shoes are up to 80% Off!

You can score some GREAT deals at this site, but most of the best bargains are first-come, first serve (i.e., Size 7 & 8 sell out FAST) so check it out 6PM early if you're in need of some new kicks!

P.S. I just got my first order last week - a $5 pair of sandals (reg. $30) & an $8 pair of skimmers (reg. $40).  My total w/ shipping was only $20 - and I am so happy with how quickly it arrived and the quality of service!
