Time 2 $ave - In the News

It still cracks us up when we are asked to be a part of a TV segment or newspaper article.  We started couponing because of our own families financial distress - we never dreamed it would be a tool that God would use to give hope to so many people.

  1. I am so proud to have met these "CELEBRITIES." My husband thanks them for saving us so much money!! However, he blames them for creating a coupon monster...I won't let him buy stuff if we don't have a coupon...unless it is an emergency!

  2. haha - my husband has just decided he needs to be content with Frosted Flakes and Corn Pops, since that's what I have 20 boxes of right now....

    He's a good man!

  3. I just read the article (congrats on being on the front page). I just have one question: When you mention the peelies, were the items with the peelies purchased at the same time?
    Have a great day!

  4. My husband just said when he saw the paper, "Uh, oh, it's the beginning of the end of your couponing." Me: "Why?" Him: "Because stores are going to start taking a closer look at it now and start creating rules and stuff." I said,of course, "They have rules." He said, "Not really." I didn't answer, but I realized, he has not been properly educated by me! Probably, he just thinks it's all too good to be true, and surely they're not going to let it keep going like this. Little does he know!

  5. I read the article today and thought it was a good one except for one thing... the tip to grab multiple coupons in the store (blinkies and peelies). I do think this is a good tip, but please PLEASE stress that grabbing multiple coupons means 2-3 and not as many as you can stuff in your binder. There are many of us out there couponing and not everyone adheres to the "couponers ethics" that you do. Thanks for all your hard work!!!

  6. Angela & Terri - never fear! We only take the peelies off when we are buying an item - we were mostly just showing these ladies how you can often find coupons if you just look around (In dispensers, tearpads, and even on products!) I can see how the article made it sound like we were just going on a peelie-stealing spree, but it gave the wrong impression there.
