Vista Print: 100 Free Notecards

Visit VistaPrint.com Today!

Whether you're planning a party and need invitations, moving to a new house, announcing the birth of baby or congratulating a Graduate  - these FREE Full-Color Postcards are a wonderful resource to do it cheaply! Use your imagination to come up with a good way to use them.   These are also great if you have a home-business like Gold Canyon Candles, Avon, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, 31, etc..

I really like Kathy's idea - she used them to alert people about the Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk - and to ask them to sponsor her family as they walk for their precious Granddaughter Gabrielle.  What a wonderful way to spread the word!

Coupon Swaps: Let's Organize!

Are you cripplingly thrifty? Are all your “normal” friends beginning to back slowly away from you and your endless coupon stories? Do you need a support group?  You're in luck!!

As some of you know, I (Jamie) host a Cleveland, TN Coupon Swap about once a month at the local library conference room.  (It's was delayed this month due to the kids Spring Break followed by Easter - but will resume soon!)  I've met some awesome ladies there, and we've had fun sharing stories, eating goodies, and most importantly - trading coupons!

Well, we don't all live in Cleveland, and many have expressed a desire to get a coupon group started in their own neck of the woods.   Be it Chattanooga, Macon, Atlanta, Knoxville - or some tiny town in the middle of nowhere - you all deserve a coupon support group!  Well we've thought of a good way to help you do just that!

If you click on the Discussion Tab on our Facebook page, you will see the topic "Coupon Swaps: Let's Organize!"  This is a place where you can pipe up and ask folks from your area to have a coupon swap with you.  Once you have a few people ready to meet, we'll be happy to announce the dates and locations of planned swaps on the website - to help you get the word out.

For those of you new to Facebook, you'll be going HERE and clicking on the tab that says "Discussions" - I took a picture of what that looks like for you below.

~How To Host A Coupon Swap~

If you'd like to start a group but aren't sure how to go about the business of creating a "Coupon Swap" - never fear!  I'll have a post put up in the next few days detailing how we and others like to do it.  Until then, just focus on rounding up some friends who want to join you!

April Fools!! No "Time 4 Romance" After All....

Well, the day is winding down, and it's time for me to confess:

The unveiling of our latest project - "TIme4Romance" (HERE) - was a silly April Fools hoax!  I'm sure most of you knew that, but I just wanted to make you do a double-take long enough to say "Huh?!"  That's right, we won't actually be setting up lonely-hearted cheapskates on romantic dates :) -  but who knows, maybe someone will meet at our workshops one day and fall head over heels!

(Luckily, noone actually sent us Bio's, otherwise I would've felt terrible!)

If you really do wish you had a Coupon Buddy though (No...not a "Coupon Mate"), the BEST place to find one is RIGHT HERE on our Facebook Page!  Just write a note on the wall and announce to all 2774 of your fellow "TIme2Savers" that you need a local shopping buddy!  I'd bet my Easter Bonnet that someone is going to write you back.....

Scan Your CVS Card Today - Get Rewards!

Today is April 1st - and that means we'll all be getting our quarterly rewards!  Next time you stop by, you should be getting a little surprise ECB printout from all your hard work doing deals there ;)

How much did you get?  Let us know!

Free Nexxus at CVS! (Limit Reached on Coupon)

SORRY GUYS!  Coupon hit it's limit already!  I'm guessing because people ran around to 3 computers each to get it  :)

I hesitated to post this deal today, because very few of us have *3* computers to be able to do it.  But, if you are one of those rare people who DOES have three computers (or has very nice friends with printers) - there is a new coupon out that will get you FREE Nexxus at CVS!

First, go print this $2/1 Nexxus Coupon - use your back arrow to print it once more.  Two's the limit.

Next go to CVS, where they are running this deal:
Spend $20 on Nexxus Shampoo/Conditioner/Styler ~ Get $10 ECB

Stylers start as low as $2.99 - so you could buy (5) $2.99 Items + (1) item for at least $5.06
Use (6) of the printables above
Pay around $8 ~ Get $10 ECB Back
(Makes Six Nexxus Products FREE!)

I imagine it will be hard to find exactly the items you need to do the deal this cheaply - but if nothing else, you will score the Nexxus for very little in the end!  For those of you with 1 computer - just save this coupon for another good deal, I'm sure there will be one soon!

- Thanks, Hip2Save!

Time 2 Give

Time 2 Give
For those who have attended a workshop, you've heard our heart in using the world of couponing as a ministry to reach others.  Many of you have taken the challenge to step out in faith as you've reached out to give groceries and bless others in your world.  That is incredible!  Now we feel it is time to take it to the next level.  While we all have the common goal of cutting our grocery bill, I present the question of what about the savings?  I am so grateful for the knowledge of couponing and the resources it has brought to my family's budget. In that, I also feel a responsibility to give back a portion of my savings to ministries and those who carry the message so dear to my heart.  We want to present some of these ministries to you with that same challenge.  I learned at a very early age "If God can get it through you, He will get it to you."  From that perspective, I don't cut my grocery bill so I can buy a new car...or afford new stuff.  I'd rather choose a higher calling and reach out to those who live a true life of sacrifice. I've also learned that giving is more about the giver than the one who receives.  It keeps my "selfish" meter in check.  When I feel that struggle of being consumed with the activities, attitudes and cares of my world, it does me good to change glasses and my vision to focus on others.

New Hope Pregnancy Care Center is an incredible place of ministry, love and education.  I have visited and volunteered with the precious people here several times.  They are on the front lines of helping wounded and overwhelmed couples walk through a crisis pregnancy.  You can read more about their services, ministry and goals HERE

The Challenge - NHPC is in need of monthly partners to continue operation.  Obviously the economy has affected their donation levels.  At a time when others are pulling out, we want to come in with support.  Our challenge is for you to become a monthly partner of at least $5 or make a one time donation of $60 to New Hope.  Once you have, simply let us know on Facebook under the New Hope Discussions tab.  Then you will be entered into the weekly drawing for a $25 Gift Card to the grocery store of your choice (Publix, BiLo, Food Lion, Target or Kroger).  You don't have to live in our area to support them, anyone can enter.  Weekly winners will be picked each Thursday.

Donations - You can make a one time donation by clicking HERE and using either paypal or credit card.  If you'd like to become a monthly donor, you can set that up by calling 1-423-479-6683.  Don't forget to let us know on Facebook HERE

Crock-Pot Cola Ham for Easter!

Easter's coming, and I'm already stressing out about how to get everything cooked and on the table at the same time for the Easter Meal.  I know some people have this down to a science, but I'm just not one of them!
For all you busy moms, this is my FAVORITE way to make the Holiday Ham the easiest part of your meal using Coke and a Crock Pot.  I give total credit to my wonderful mother-in-law for this one - as a pastor's wife, she just has a knack for cooking good Southern food the easy and yummy way!

What You'll Need:
* 3-4 lb Fully Cooked Ham (I'm using the "Butt" half this year)
* 1 can Coca Cola (I find it's the most carbonated)
* Slow-Cooker big enough for your ham

Fancy People Extras:
*Orange or Pineapple Juice (For an extra basting zing)
*Pineapple Rings (Stick in with toothpicks)
*Maraschino Cherries (Stick in with toothpicks)
*Whole Cloves

Directions:
Trim the fat, leaving a 1/4" layer.  Score your ham with shallow cuts diagonally (both ways) to make a diamond pattern.  Place in Crock Pot and pour Coke over it.  Cook on High for 1 hour, and then turn to Low for the next 6-7 hours.  While cooking, occasionally scoop out some of the liquid and pour over the ham to keep it moist.

NOTE: You can do this in the oven as well, just put it in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes/lb.  You'll want to set on a foil-lined pay and also wrap the ham in foil.  Wrap it in a way that allows you to baste with Coke frequently.

The acidity and carbonation in the coke tenderizes the ham and makes it very moist, plus gives a sweet flavor that noone would guess comes from a can of Coke!

What is your favorite way to cook your Easter ham?  Share it in the comment section!
