Tutorial ~ A Full Cup

This is a step by step tutorial to help guide you through the process of using a coupon database to search for specific coupons on A Full Cup

Jaime posted some of the basics earlier in the week HERE in case you missed it.  The cat is out of the bag this resource is one of our "secret weapons" for getting insider info.

1.  Click HERE for link to A Full Cup.  If you haven't already registered click the circled Join Now, if you are already registered then go to the top right corner to log in.

2.  After you have either registered or logged in move your curser to coupons on the navigation bar as you see above.  Scroll down to the first option, coupon database and click.

3.  If you are looking for a specific coupon, type the product in the circled box labeled description.  For example, I am searching for a coupon for coca-cola.  I tried coke first and only three coupons were available, so keep in mind the product name when you search.

Database provides specific details such as:
1. Description of coupon
2. Value of coupon
3. Expiration date
4. Type of Coupon (printable, newspaper insert, etc...)
5.  Category product falls under

After clicking "printable" I was directed to CVS.com to print the coupon.  The coupon link at CVS.com is powered by coupons.com the most popular online printable site.  On the CVS website, the coupons are geared more toward CVS products and are different than the coupons offered on the typical coupons.com.  The same rules apply ~ typically two prints per computer.

This is a scanned in copy of the printed coupon.

We are often asked if there are ever coupons for produce.  Here under product description you can type in either "produce" or "fresh fruit."  Personally, I prefer to select all available coupons.  If you wanted to specify printable, blinkie, newspaper insert, etc.. you would indicate that here.

In this example the product description was left blank intentionally.  Instead, I have selected coupon type "tearpad" to find out what tearpads are available that I may be interested in.  Tearpads can be a gem of a coupon, however they are regional and seemingly few and far between.  It may surprise you so see the number of tearpads available.  Why?  They were not released in our region, ran out before you could get any, were available in a store you don't shop at, or the tearpad bandits may have swiped the entire tearpad.  Don't fret, you can keep an eye out since you know what tearpads are available or you can search for specific tearpads ebay.  For details on how to search ebay click HERE.

Hope this helps you.  There are so many incredible resources available on afullcup.com, however it takes time to learn how.  This is the first segment of A Full Cup Tutorials.  Let us know if this has been helpful!

Children's Place Monster Sale

I went online to find a World Map to help in homeschooling my daughter and ended up finding these deals at the Children's Place and had to share.  When they have Monster sales it's a great time to stock up for next year.  Kelly and I (Kasey) buy a lot of our boys clothes at Children's Place.

Little Boys Long  Polo Shirt $4.99                            Toggle Coat $14.99

Now, I will go look for the World Map that I was looking for when I found these deals.  (Clothes are so much more fun!)  I have to admit I am a little rusty in Geography and am learning again with my 6 year old.  Sadly enough, I think she knows more than me.  Then again, I think I have noticed that my brain releases information that I don't need to make room for the REALLY REALLY important stuff.
(Like being a mommy!)

New Recipe Segment: Steak Tips Over Rice

I am no chef.  Seriously - I think the love of cooking is one of those things that may have to develop when:

        a) Your whining 1 year old is not standing between you and the stove and pushing on your legs.
        b) Your attempts at "nice" dinners aren't met with 4 little kids crying into their plates because it's not macaroni.  Again.  Picky eaters - I am one, and I apparently breed them.
        c) Your weekly food budget is so small that you can't even afford one of the ingredients in those "Top Chef"  recipes.  I watch those chef shows.  I see my husband looking wistfully at that food. Frankly, I resent it, chef show!

It's easy to get stuck in a rut. I'm sure we all need more ideas for recipes that are
CHEAP + EASY + FAMILY FRIENDLY

Since, as I mentioned, I am no chef, I'll be mostly pointing to other people's recipes.  My favorite cooking site ever - SouthernPlate - will provide this week's recipe.  Each week I'll try to pick one that matches up with ingredients that are on sale. This week's recipe and ingredient list are below - Enjoy!

        ★Crockpot Steak Tips Over Rice★

        You'll Need:

        ★- 1 Boneless Bottom Round Roast: $1.99/lb
*Ask the butcher to cut this into stew meat- aka: your "Steak Tips")

★- 1 Can, Jar, or Packet of Gravy: cheap
*I still have some leftover from those Holiday gravy sales!

★- White Rice:  50¢ for an easy-steam bag
*Get it at Publix this week as part of the Green Giant Frozen Vegetables Sale.

I will probably add baby carrots and mushrooms to this dish - what do you think?  Doesn't it sound great?  And don't you wish that Christy Jordan was your best friend and neighbor????
Leave a comment if this is a segment you'd like to see every week!

Also, if you have an awesome recipe that meets all of the above requirements (Cheap, Easy, Family Friendly) - send it to us at: time2save@hotmail.com  with the header "Recipe Roundup".  Please make it look pretty so I can just copy & paste it here - and if you've got a picture - show it off!  Just think, this is your chance to be a published cook.....and help out those of us stuck in a rut!

        Save-A-Lot Coupon Book & Printables

I shop at Save-A-Lot pretty often, mostly because it's really close to my house and I'm the forgetful sort - which means 10 minutes into dinner I recall that I didn't buy ground beef for the chili.  Save-A-Lot here I come!  This week ground beef was on sale for $1.29/lb - and that's just a flat-out good price.  Bananas are usually 33¢/lb.  Fresh Express Salad bags have been 50¢ for months now.  The produce deals there are just awesome.

I say all that so poor Save-A-Lot won't feel bad when I say I also use them for their printable coupons.

Besides their simple set-up and dependable deals on staples, my other favorite part about Save-A-Lot is that they offer printable coupons on their website.  These are all store coupons, so I usually end up using them at Publix.

In addition to printables, they have a REALLY GOOD Proctor & Gamble coupon booklet that they'll send you if you sign up HERE.

The coupons in the booklet have a Save-A-Lot logo somewhere on them, but they're all manufacturer coupons - so use them wherever they'll work!

P.S. - Occasionally they even have good tearpads in there!  But shhhh, don't tell, it'll be our secret....

        HOT New Printable Coupons!

There are a lot of good printable coupons out there right now, over $100 worth on Coupons.com alone!  Lots of coupons pop up and are gone before the day is over, so here are the ones I see that are worth hoofing it to your printer to get!

★  $5/5 Healthy Choice Meals PRINT (Has already reset for some- will make these FREE at Kroger this week and very very cheap at Bi-Lo & Publix!)

★  $2 Off lots of DVD movies PRINT (Including the Princess Bride, Everafter, 27 Dresses, and MORE!!  I've seen Everafter for $5 at Walmart before, this would make for a $3 movie!)

★ $1/2 McKenzie Vegetables IE Link or Firefox Link (McKenzie Chub Corn is BOGO at Bi-Lo right now!)

★  50¢/1 Pillsbury Crescent Rolls  PRINT (IE) or PRINT (FF) (Only $1 at Kroger = FREE)
