Target Coupon Policy is now ONLINE!!
Finally, we have proof! Yes, Target is now putting in writing their coupon policy and it does state that they accept store and manufacturer coupons. No longer will we be known as "those crazy couponing people."
FROM TARGET'S WEBSITE:
Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it's easy to use them at our stores.
• Target accepts one manufacturer coupon and one Target coupon for the same item (unless prohibited)
• Super Target coupons can be used in any Target store if the store carries the item
• We gladly accept valid internet coupons
Because of the variety of coupons available to our guests, we do have some guidelines for how coupons can be redeemed at Target.
When accepting coupons, we use the following guidelines:
• We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued coupons and manufacturer-issued.
• We'll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.
• Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.
• We can't give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item.
• We can't accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
• All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier while you're checking out.

BUMMED! But still Saving Money!
A little heads up from a fellow couponista reader and recent workshop attendee. She has had several experiences at grocery stores in the East TN area who stopped her internet printable coupons that say, "do not double" from doubling. To a newbie this probably sounds like a no brainer, but to those of us out there who have enjoyed all of our coupons doubling, we understand. It has happened to both Kelly and I, but not consistently at any one store.TO OUR READER: Thank you for the heads up, and your kind attitude. We respect and appreciate your response, as I am sure the cashier did as well. You are so right in the scheme of real life your description is perfect - that "it is just some cheap cookie mix and that you still saved money!"
Here is an excerpt from her email:
I went to get some cheap cookie mix had 4 internet pintables and 4 from the newspaper..all the same amout on them. Newspaper doubled but they stopped the internet ones. I was bummed! Still saved money though!
So you may want to give people a heads up....because most internet coupons say don't double.
Remember - it is always up to each individual store and managers discretion to make changes to their coupon policy. There has been a tremendous influx of coupon usage in our area that the grocery stores have tightened the riegns a bit. We are still getting great deals.
Okay, this is by far the best and funniest testimonial we have read in a while. Kelly and I nearly laughed our britches off this morning when we got this email. What we learned, changed our lives...and those of the ones around us. I've said a hundred times before "If it doesn't say Great Value on it...we don't need it!" Oh how mistaken I was. I now have two jam packed refrigerators, two packed freezers, and my wife has rearranged the kitchen three times to find room for our new found food wealth. The kicker is, that it is all BRAND NAME food!
This week at church, a family in need was brought up that needed food to survive. Instead of blowing the dust off of that one can of Sourkrout in the back of the cupboard and a few other items I didn't think we'd ever eat, we were able to gladly supply this family with GOOD brand name food. We were able to give them what we would normally buy in a grocery trip for our family. Because of our newfound skill, we were excited to pick out things we knew this family would enjoy.
To all of us husbands at church now, gone are the talks of Football scores, and NASCAR races. We bring our receipts and brag of our savings, or finding the deal that they didn't. "You saved 70%...that's not to bad. I SAVED 80%!! TAKE THAT!!! Have you ever seen men that raced to the grocery stores on Wednesday morning before work....we do now!
I am such the nerd, that I have been keeping a spreadsheet of our savings. You will find it attached. In only three weeks we have filled our cabinets, eaten better than we ever have, and saved over $1,000 while doing it. Thank you for your classes, and we at Boynton Church of God are glad you will bring your class to our church.

First of all thank you so much for introducing us to another world of savings...we are addicted!! I attended the workshop at New Bethel Baptist in Harrison on August 14th and 15th.
