Update - To see the list of participating Kmart stores, click HERE
K-mart Super Doubles is almost HERE!  All of you who plan to join the fray should be thoroughly prepared  -  so here is a Kmart Super-Doubles Bootcamp to help you train.
I've spent the last few hours gathering information, because I want you coupon-recruits to be solidly prepared for the Kmart Super-Doubles Event coming 4/4 - 4/10.  If you have any questions or know of a coupon that would be good to add to the list - leave a comment below!

Part I

 What IS Kmart Super-Doubles?

Kmart Super-Doubles is an exciting (although often frustrating) week of shopping.  During this week, Kmart will double manufacturer coupons up to $2 (Doubled up to $4!)  This makes lots of items FREE - and most people like to play the "Get only the free stuff and leave" game during this event.  This time, Kmart has added some strict rules to the game, and before you can even play you'll have to sign up for the Kmart Shop Your Way Rewards Card.  Your membership won't go into effect for 72 hours, so do it as soon as possible to be ready!

Here are the other rules you need to know:

-Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 value will be doubled

-In-store Activation MUST BE tied to your Shop Your Way to Rewards card

-Does not include Kmart Store Coupons

-Limit 5 total coupons per customer per day

-First 5 coupons provided by customer will be doubled

PART IV

Why your friends might look at you like you're a crazy-person for going.

Kmart Doubles is a bad word for some, and with good reason!  Here are some troubles folks have run into - and hopefully they've fixed all those problems by now.

• In the past, there have been little or no coupon limits, meaning folks would arrive at the store after  hours  days of preparation to find the shelves cleared of every freebie. The 5 limit fixes this - but you'll still have to get there early for the good freebies.

• K-Mart is known for being unpredictable about coupons in general - but ESPECIALLY during Super-Doubles week.  Sometimes if an item is $3.95 and you try to use a $2 coupon (which will double to $4) it will go through fine.  Other times, it will just not double.  Other times the cashier will look at you as if you were trying to steal something and hand it back.

• Lots of folks are unhappy about the *5* coupon limit, because with the hassle involved, it's almost not worth the trip.  For those who might try to get around that rule, be warned: The *5* Coupon-Per-Day limit will be tied to your K-Mart Rewards Card.

• At one time, Internet Printables weren't accepted, then they were.  Then they weren't again.  And so on and so forth - you get the picture.... typical Kmart-ness.

The list of troubles can get quite long, so let's just say - it's been rough for some.  The main thing to remember is to be calm, kind, and sane enough to let the toothpaste go if you have to.  Then, when you get home, call 1-866-562-7848 and speak to a Customer Service rep.  Hopefully, you can get your issue resolved quickly and efficiently!

- Thanks,  AFullCup, CommonSenseWithMoney! Living Rich With Coupons,

Simplify Sundays: 3/28

Debby McCuiston, self-proclaimed "Queen of Clutter-Free", does a segment for us each Sunday on simplifying our lives, getting rid of "clutter", and focusing on what's important.  We're really excited about this new segment - and hope you are too!  Take it away Debby....

The up and coming celebration for Easter brings lots of great memories. I can almost tell you each and every Easter outfit my kids wore every year. I remember trying to make sure they received just the right candy in their Easter baskets. Then the pictures we took every year out back by the same dogwood tree. Getting ready to go the the family for Easter dinner and Easter egg hunts for the little ones. Sweet memories!!
But I also remember the stress over getting the perfect outfit. If you are a mom like me who loved to sew for the kids-- gathering all the fabric to make the perfect outfit.  I was up until the wee hours of the morning sewing until I couldn't see to take another stitch. As I look back, I would not trade that time for all the money in the world. I do wish I had planned better with the sewing projects and filling  the baskets. At times, trying to complete the dress on time became the main focus. Sometimes I worried more about getting the eggs colored then remembering the colors that have a deeper meaning at Easter.
Colors like the Red in the blood that flowed down the cross as Christ hung on that cross to take my sins away so I can enter heaven.  The Purple robe that they put on Jesus, to mock Him as He hung on the cross. The Brown of the thorns that they placed on His head.  The Gray from the stone that covered the tomb where they laid His body.   The Black in the sky moment that Jesus died.  The Yellow in the sunrise on the 3rd day when it was discovered that indeed He had risen from the grave.  The Blue in the sky as more and more people realized that He was the Christ that had come to save the world.
These colors may not be our "Easter colors" but without them there would be not Easter. I am sure we would still have a "spring celebration" with all the outfits and candy. But any type of celebration that the world could come up with pales in comparison to the real meaning of Easter.

As you and your families go through this week, take some time to notice the colors around you. Remember the white in the lily and how Christ took our sins away to make us able to be pure and blameless as we enter heaven. Remember the green in the grass that shows the new life we can have if we believe that Jesus is who He says He is. This time of year colors seem brighter and have a deeper meaning for me and I hope for you too.

Don't get caught up in all the fluff of this time of year. The new outfits are great! Any excuse to eat all of your favorite candy in one day makes me very happy. But all that will be gone in such a short amount of time. The kids out grow the clothes. We gain weight from all the candy and dinner with the family. But what we have in our hearts is all that will last. Having a relationship with Jesus and teaching our children why we celebrate Easter is what we should be spending our time on. The investment into the lives of others is better than any sugar high you can get from eating too many "peeps". So as this special week unfolds before us  share with someone why  you love this time of year--invest in them.

Stop and notice the freshness in the air as God breathes life back into the earth. Notice the  cleansing power of rain as it clears all the impurities out of the air and remember the tears that have been shed on your behalf to bring to closer to Christ. Take a few minutes to feel the sun on your skin and celebrate the fact that you are alive and that you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those around you, everyday. Don't waste this special time of year. Look around you, there are so many things to remind us that God loves us and gave His son for us so we could be in heaven with Him.

I know this isn't the normal "simplify sunday" article, but how can I tell  you to clean up the outside of your life when the inside is more important.  You can follow all my advice and finally get caught up on all your projects but that will not make a difference in the light of eternity!! You heart is more important than any room in your house and WHO lives in it is the most important thing. Because that is what will determine where you will spend eternity. It's not what you have or what you do, It is WHO you know that gets you into heaven. Please make sure you will be able to join me someday in heaven, as we set at His feet and finally understand how much He loves us. May God bless you in a special  way this week. What a wonderful week to celebrate being alive!!!

Common Sense Media - Alice In Wonderland Review

Okay, so I mentioned yesterday that I like this helpful new site Common Sense Media - and here's why:

✤ It's Free.  They run on donations only.

✤ It gives me age-appropriate recommendations for my kids on books, movies, video games, and t.v. shows.  It says why it's appropriate (or NOT appropriate), and summarizes the content in a parent-minded way.

✤ You can search a movie title and see an in-depth rating for: Sex, Language, Violence, Drinking-Drugs-Smoking, and Consumerism.

✤ There's great parental advice categorized by Age - like for 7th & 8th grade there are articles about checking your child's browser history.  I'm learning right now how to setup a "Safe Search" so my kids won't run into smut when doing homework research(!)

A couple of my kids wanted to see Alice in Wonderland - so I looked it up.  Some of the violence is too much for them , which just goes to show - you gotta do your homework!

Excerpt from Alice in Wonderland's Violence Rating (3 out of 5 "Bombs"):

"..... Since these sequences are in 3-D, they're especially intense. There's a moat filled with cut-off heads and potions filled with severed fingers. People are scratched and nearly killed, an executioner is shown about to lower the axe on someone, and in the end, a creature is decaptitated. "

To sign up for your free membership - and even get a FREE gift - go HERE (Offer good only until 3/31!!!)

Samples Anyone?

There are lots of free sample offers floating around right now - and while I don't usually list tons of those, I thought some of you might be interested!

Getting on "the list" of lots of companies means you get unexpected little samples and coupons in the mailbox often - coupons with higher values than normal!

I recommend using an "extra" email account for anything you sign up for. This helps me keep personal email separate from my "Coupon" email! With that in mind, here are some current offers:

• Spring Healthy Living Product Samples HERE
• Olay Total Effects Anti-Aging Body Wash HERE SOLD OUT

• Pampers Samples (Sign Up HERE) & New DryMax diaper sample HERE
• Dove Daily Treatment Conditioner HERE
• Kashi GoLean Crips, TLC Bar, & GoLeanCrunch at FreeFly's
• Kotex Sample Pack HERE (Got mine yesterday, had a $1 Off ANY Kotex Q!)
• Formula Samples, Baby Magazines, Daipers Coupons and more! Click Here

Okay, that's all for now - I'll round up a few more later in the week! I like doing my sample sign-ups in batches like this, when I have time to just sit down and zip through several sites at once.

HOT ~ $1/1 Sargento Cheese Coupon!

You rarely see cheese coupons this high - it will make for SUPER cheap cheese when it goes on sale next!  Go HERE to print this one NOW before it reaches its print limit.  NOTE: You'll need to enter zipcode 01885 to get this one to show up.

P.S. There is also a 55¢/1 Sargento coupon - so go cheese crazy!

FREE Redbox Rental!

Sign-up for a Redbox.com account HERE and you'll get a code for a FREE Rental in your email!  While you're trying to decide which movie to rent (you can even reserve your movie online, and go pick it up later!) - you may want to check out the site below....

I have 4 boys and a husband with eyes, so I ALWAYS search the internet and ask friends for reviews before we watch a movie.  Common Sense Media is a great (FREE) site to go for age-appropriate reviews of movies.  Click Here

Free Haircut Coupon

Don't you love the hair?

I am going to let you all in on a little secret of mine, I (Kasey) am about 70% gray headed.  GASP!!  Yes, I come from a long family line of premature gray locks, so I am especially appreciative of hair color.  Being a brunette is one investment that I am willing to make for the long haul, nevertheless I'm always game for good coupons.

I love this picture!! Jaimie found it a couple of months ago and everytime I see it, I crack up.

Anyway, tonight I attended a new mom's group at church and met a super sweet hairstylist who works in Chattanooga at Villa Salon, her name is Brittany.  Since we are always looking for good deals, I asked her if I could post a coupon for our Time 2 $ave Community and she agreed!!  She said that she has an awesome referral program and that she would continue to send us coupons to post!!

By the way, her hair color looked awesome.

Receive a Complimentary Haircut With Any Haircolor Purchase

Call Brittany Teets to schedule an appointment at 423.855.0023.

Tell her you read about the coupon at  www.time2saveworkshops.com!

I've put up a nice scenario at bottom to help you get the most from these freebies - enjoy!
